At the International Free Christian Church, we hold firmly to the following beliefs, guided by our faith in Jesus Christ, as inspired by the Holy Scriptures:

  1. The Eternal Majesty of God: we firmly believe in the foundational truth that there is only one God, YHWH, and beside Him, there is none. YHWH is the eternal and unchanging God, the source of all existence, and He exists by Himself, needing no one or nothing to sustain His being. Throughout the ages, YHWH has graciously revealed Himself to humanity in various forms, including Elohei, the fire or the Holy Spirit, and El Shaddai, the Most High, the God of the Mountain. Notably, He also revealed Himself through Jesus Christ, who willingly sacrificed Himself on a mountain, exemplifying His boundless love for humanity. YHWH is Adonai, the sovereign and master of heaven and earth, reigning with absolute authority over all creation. We recognize the greatness of God, affirming His uniqueness and supremacy in all aspects of life.  Through our devotion to YHWH, the one true God, we seek to grow in our understanding of His character and His will for our lives. We strive to honor and glorify Him in all that we do, recognizing that our ultimate purpose and fulfillment can only be found in a vibrant and personal relationship with Him.
  2. Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior: We confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God. He is the Savior of all who believe in Him, the mediator between God and humanity, and the ultimate example of love and righteousness. Jesus-Christ is the cornerstone and sole foundation upon which the Church is built. As the head of the Church, He exercises supreme authority over all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice. We look to His teachings and example as our ultimate guide and seek to follow His commandments in every aspect of our lives. In Him alone, we find the true source of unity, strength, and hope for the body of believers, the Church, which He loves and for which He gave Himself.
  3. The Authority of Scripture: We affirm the divine inspiration and infallibility of the Holy Bible, comprising the Old and New Testaments. It is the ultimate authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct.
  4. Salvation and Final Judgment: We believe that salvation is the deliverance of humanity from the consequences of sin through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. As humans, we are destined to live only once on this earth, and after that comes the judgment. Through Christ’s sacrificial death and resurrection, God offers the gift of salvation to all who believe and trust in Him. Salvation is received by grace alone, through faith alone, and is not based on our own merits or efforts.
  5. Repentance and Forgiveness: We acknowledge that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Through genuine repentance and faith in Christ, God offers forgiveness and reconciliation to all who come to Him.
  6. The Church as the Body of Christ: We believe that the Church is composed of all believers in Christ Jesus across time and space. Locally, the Church gathers as a community of faith, worship, and service, under the lordship of Christ.
  7. The Great Commission: As disciples of Christ, we are commissioned to go forth to all nations, proclaiming the Gospel and making disciples of every people, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded.
